Vaccination

Vaccination is essential for protecting your pets against life-threatening diseases. Bali faces an epidemic-level rabies problem, making rabies vaccination a legal requirement for all dogs and cats.

Dog Vaccinations

We protect dogs from major diseases including:

• Parvo Virus
  A highly contagious viral infection that attacks the gastrointestinal tract and can be fatal, especially in puppies. It causes severe vomiting and bloody diarrhea.
• Distemper
  A serious viral disease affecting the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems. It is often fatal and has no specific cure.
• Hepatitis
  A viral infection that attacks the liver and can cause fever, vomiting, and jaundice.
• Leptospirosis
  A bacterial disease that affects the kidneys and liver. It can be transmitted to humans and is common in tropical environments.
• Parainfluenza and Kennel Cough
  Respiratory infections that cause coughing and can spread rapidly in social environments like boarding facilities and dog parks.
• Rabies
  A fatal viral disease affecting the nervous system. Rabies is endemic in Bali and vaccination is required by law.

These diseases can be fatal or require long, expensive treatment once contracted. Following a proper vaccination schedule from an early age is the safest and most effective way to ensure your pet’s long-term health. Our vaccination protocols are reviewed regularly to reflect the latest international guidelines.

Cat Vaccinations

For cats, we provide core vaccinations that are essential for every feline:

• Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPV)
  Also known as feline distemper, this is a highly contagious and often fatal viral disease. It attacks rapidly dividing cells in the bone marrow and intestines, causing severe vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration. Kittens are especially vulnerable.
• Feline Herpesvirus (FHV-1)
  A major cause of upper respiratory infections and eye problems in cats. It causes sneezing, nasal discharge, conjunctivitis, and can lead to chronic eye ulcers.
• Feline Calicivirus (FCV)
  Another common cause of respiratory infections affecting the mouth and lungs. Symptoms include sneezing, nasal discharge, fever, and oral ulcers on the tongue and gums.
• Rabies
  A fatal viral disease affecting the nervous system. Rabies is endemic in Bali and vaccination is required by law.

Kittens typically receive their first core vaccination from 6 to 8 weeks of age, with boosters every 3 to 4 weeks until 16 to 20 weeks of age. Adult cats should receive core vaccinations every 1 to 3 years depending on their individual circumstances and the vaccine product used.

Pre-Vaccination Testing

We strongly recommend pre-vaccination testing before administering vaccines. This cautious approach helps identify any underlying health conditions or potential virus incubation. Our in-house rapid tests deliver accurate results quickly and help prevent complications.

We offer rapid tests for Toxoplasma, CPV, CD, FVP, FIP, Coronavirus, Rabies, and Blood Parasites. For more precise and sensitive detection, we also utilize PCR testing for infectious diseases.
